Level 30+ Recruitment Rule. With Exceptions!

There has been a lot of confusion with this new recruitment rule, it seems. This post is to clarify.

When Representatives are recruiting, they are to state that they only are accepting level 30+. However, there ARE exceptions.

Exceptions!

The exceptions to this rule are friends or family members of those within the Mayhem guild. The reason being that we want people to have fun in our guild, and we want people to have friends within a guild so they can feel more comfortable. We like to see active, helpful, friendly members. If you have a friend or family member that wants to join the guild, invite them and tell either Roseate or Slydsho later on if need be. 

6.7.2012 Changes to Ranking System, Recruitment, Guild Bank

Ranking System

We are no longer going to follow the level-based ranking system, as we feel there we have a decent player base now and these ranks should be worked for other than handed out.

We are implementing a new Ranking System, where in order to become a Representative and have the option to invite people into the guild, you must be an active, productive part of our guild. Ranks will only be given to those who ask either Slydsho or Roseate and seem enthused about becoming a Rep within the guild.

We are not going to demote anyone who already has these ranks, however. We will just no longer be giving them based on level.

Also, in order to become Rep or higher in rank, you need to first be a member, not recruit, of our guild.

We are also implementing the ranks of Officer and Organizer. Officer is the highest rank underneath Guild Master and Co-leader, while Organizer has its own category altogether.

An Officer has the right to write the MoTD, invite recruits, and moderate the guild forums.

An Organizer organizes upcoming guild events such as GvGs, guild meetings, helping guildies become accustomed to our site, forums, and Dolby Axon.

Our ranks:

Recruit - Brand new to the guild, have not been around for too long.
Member - Familiar with the guild, have been around for 2+ weeks
Representative (Rep) - Must be a member
                                    Must have submitted 20+ Catharnarch Awards to guild bank
                                    Must apply by either talking to Slydsho, Roseate, or applying via forums
                                    Must have a TeraMayhem site account
Officer - Must have been in TeraMayhem for a significant period of time, 3+ weeks being the minimum
              Must be approved by both Slydsho and Roseate
              Must have actively contributed to guild bank
              Must be well-known within the guild
Organizer- Special rank elected by Slydsho and Roseate to handle guild affairs.

Recruitment

We are no longer recruiting all levels! We are now a 30+ recruitment guild, unless by special request. When recruiting, we must say we only accept members that are levels 30 and up.

Guild Bank and Catharnarch Awards

We have come up with a new way of organizing who may have things from guild bank. In order to use our resources, a member must submit a total of 20 Catharnarch Awards per week. We consider this payment to the guild for resources. Slydsho has posted under "Guild Board" a list of those who have submitted awards thus far. You must be logged in with your account to view this list.

5.28.2012 Weeding Out, Leveling Up, and Recognition!

Weeding Out

So we've been open recruiting for about 5 days now; accepting all levels, all classes. However, this isn't forever. We do not wish to become one of those mass-inviting guilds. Right now, we are recruiting all we can to weed out the players that are not valuable to our guild.

*I just felt this needed to be made clear before people mistook us for a sub-par guild which values quantity over quality.*

When our core is well defined, then we will begin setting the standards for recruitment. By core I mean our most loyal guild members, who serve as an active part of the guild. I also mean those who make up the main portion of elite groups that participate in PVP and grouping.

Leveling Up

We are in dire need of Catharnarch Awards!

For those of you who do not know what these are, they're quest rewards for doing Guild quests. You can do Guild quests on the fly. Visit the Guild Boards in any town and pick up all of your class's available Guild quests. These are quests you can either set out to do, or you can let the kills from doing normal quests build up.

Catharnarch Awards are needed to maintain a Guild Level. Our current level is 3 (the highest). Every 2 weeks, 50 Catharnarch Awards are required to maintain the level of 3 before reverting back to level 1.

Also, we need Praise! 

Praising is something you can do wither by typing /praise Mayhem into your chatbar, or by manually going into the "Guilds on Server" option in your esc menu, searching for us, and then clicking "praise."

Remember, the better of a Guild we become, the better of an experience we can make for you! We want to make all of our guildies happy and become a guild that is renown.

Recognition

Lastly, I would like to give a shout out of recognition to players who I feel have become valuable to the guild either by helping out, being social and active, or by being actively helping us to grow the guild.

05.23.2012 Ranking System and Questions Addressed

Ranking

As we start to grow our member base, the question of a ranking system emerges. A few guildies have had a few key questions.

Since we're aimed at rapid guild growth right now, our ranking system is as follows:

Levels
1-19  Recruit
20-29  Member
30-49 Officer
50-60 Council

At the level of member, we consider you our loyal member and want to show our appreciation for your being in our guild :). Officers have the freedom to invite those they want into the guild. Lastly, Council members can send guild invites as well as post messages of the day (MotD).

This ranking system is not permanent. As our guild grows we will tweak our ranking system, since we are only looking to have 10 Officers in total. Who stands as those officers in the end will be the most active, and helpful members that we have.

Questions Addressed

First off, we have Dolby Axon as our VOIP. We have a Mayhem channel using this client and Slydsho has made a tutorial for anyone who needs help using it, which you can find on your right under "Helpful Links."

Secondly, as mentioned in my previous update - this is our temporary site. However, we now have Forums! You can find the Forums tab at the top of this page right beneath the heading.

We are still actively recruiting! All levels, all classes until we feel we have a stable member base.

05.22.12 Welcome to Mayhem!

Welcome to Mayhem's very first update. We are a brand new TERA guild that was created in the dark, early morning hours of 05.22.2012 in the very same unexpected nature that is stated in our banner. This site is a temporary transitional site until we get our domain and forums up. This is just a brief overview while we continue to build our guild and begin recruiting new members. Find us on Feral Valley server!

About Us

We're a laid-back guild with few rules that consist of the same principals that your own common sense provides. We like forming groups and detest playing alone. We feel like playing alone on an MMORPG is outrageous. What's the point of massive multiplayer if you aren't burning through mobs and speed questing with a few guildies?

To kick start the guild and weed out the players who lack potential, we are currently accepting all applications. Though our recruitment is currently open, we do not believe in mass-recruiting. We want our members to feel like they play an active part of an innovative guild and have friends among the other guild members.

We will continue to update periodically as we build and strengthen our guild.
